‘LinkedIn plug-in for Twinfield collects debtors information’

That would be an excellent result of the partner afternoon that Twinfield is organising this June 30 for software developers who are joining the Twinapps platform. It’s a platform that software developers can use to program web services real-time so they can develop interesting applications for the web, iPhone, Androids and BlackBerry smartphones. It is maybe one of the best kept secrets within Twinfield, our web services. This all sounds terribly technical, but it’s in fact a safe and controlled way of accessing Twinfield’s ‘bookkeeping engine’. Many software developers have already realised connections with Twinfield; connections that, for instance, enable you to draft invoices automatically from within a project administration or stock control system. They are elegant connections that optimise processes and make an entrepreneur’s life a lot easier. The partner afternoon should be inspirational for both existing and new developers. As our guest speaker, Hans Appel (Dutch website) will take it upon himself to make participants think in a different way. Our Advanced Thinking program already facilitates accountants, an we’re trying to do the same for our partners.

Information that is recorded through our bookkeeping engine makes up maybe only 20% of the whole picture involving, say, debtors. This information is, for instance, comprised of factual, transaction based data which don’t really show the reputation of the debtor in question. The other 80% of the information is online somewhere, unstructured. This part is comprised of the messages, experiences and conversations about that debtor, which people share online on for instance LinkedIn, forums, communities and blogs. Imagine that you, as entrepreneur, could combine Twinfield’s factual information with the unstructured online info about reputation with 1 press of the button. It would put the payment behaviour, or lack thereof, of said debtor in a completely different light. After all, unstructured online info on blogs and in discussions is often very authentic and creates a clearer picture of a debtor than any factual information at hand. Imagine a developer developing such an app for all smartphones, adding it to app stores and charging 1 Euro. It’s a Euro that might save an entrepreneur thousands. With a user database with 80.000 administrations, and counting, there surely must be someone out there brave enough to develop this LinkedIn plugin for Twinfield in no-time? Please?
