Microsoft recently investigated Twinfield to create a case study for publication on global Microsoft websites like www.microsoftstartupzone.com. Twinfield showcases the Microsoft technology as a platform for delivering reliable and secure webservices.
The case study discusses what Microsoft technologies are used to deliver the Twinfield online accounting service. The three key factors speed, reliability and security are covered as well as the technology used to open up the Twinfield data model to allow for other operational systems to exchange data from or to the Twinfield online accounting system. Also the tight integration with Microsoft Office to allow for designing personalised lay-outs for invoices and dunning letters using Microsoft Word as well as the option to set up a real-time connection from Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes are explained.
Microsoft Netherlands contacted Twinfield in late 2006 and contacts were intensified with Microsoft UK and Microsoft USA during 2007. Microsoft professionals visited Twinfield in The Netherlands and meetings took place at the offices of Microsoft UK. Also several teleconferences contributed to the birth of this case study for publication by Microsoft USA. Localised versions of this case study will be prepared in September 2007.
